The Envision Opelika Foundation is excited to announce that the Annual Opelika Giving Day will be held on Wednesday, May 22, 2024.
This online fundraising challenge provides an easy and exciting way to support local non-profits, celebrate the joy of helping others, and inspire a new culture of giving within our community.
Since its inception, Opelika Giving Day has helped raise over $150,000 for more than 35 nonprofits serving Opelika! Envision Opelika Foundation is proud to be the host organization for Opelika Giving Day this year. Opelika Giving Day is a way to support special projects within our community, allowing everyone to contribute to their favorite nonprofit project, or possibly multiple projects, that impact Opelika! Individuals, companies, and organizations are all invited to participate in this special day of giving.

Alabama Rural Ministry:
ARM is a bridge between families who need help, mainly in the way of home repairs, and those who desire to serve. As we build servant leaders, we also want to end substandard housing in Alabama!

Circles Opelika is a Poverty Reduction Program designed to “inspire and equip families to resolve poverty and thrive”. A 12-week training course provides resources, speakers, and training classes that help participants (known as Circle Leaders) understand credit and debt, budgeting, self-care, parenting skills, tutoring for kids, career options, and more.

Creekline Trains of Opelika:
Creekline Trails of Opelika is a citizen-led project to connect neighbors with nature by developing multi-use creekside trails and greenways along the beautiful watershed streams of Opelika, Alabama.

Curtis House:
The NextGen Initiative provides African American males opportunities that will develop, mold, and enhance skills to become the “Nextgen” of leaders, scholars, and innovators in their respective communities.

Friends of the Wood Duck Nature Preserve
The Opelika Wood Duck Heritage Preserve and Siddique Nature Park is a restored habitat for migratory and local birds. This 85-acre preserve uses a 78-acre wastewater lagoon owned by the city, combined with seven acres of land adjacent to the lagoon site. The park has become home to a significant population of wood ducks and waterfowl

O Grows
The addition of an outdoor classroom will allow O Grows to create more interactive and accessible learning opportunities for children, families, and seniors who already visit the garden. It also increases our ability to host community events and make growing spaces more available to a wider range of ages and ability levels.

The OBAC is a group of people working together to implement the Opelika Bicycle Plan and work towards becoming a bicycle-friendly community!

Twin Cedars Child Advocacy Center
The mission of Twin Cedars Child Advocacy Center (CAC) is to facilitate and achieve healing and justice for abused and neglected children by providing our core services of forensic interviewing, family advocacy, trauma-focused therapy, and forensic medical exams in both Lee County using a trauma-informed multidisciplinary team (MDT) approach.

Village Friends’ mission is to provide aging adults (Subscribers) with a support system allowing them to age in place in the home of their choosing.
