Who are we?

The Performance Series is designed to bring world-class artists and ensembles from around the globe directly to the Opelika Center for the Performing Arts on the campus of Opelika High School. The series includes national tour Broadway productions; international symphony orchestras; major American dance companies; and important celebrity performers in the worlds of jazz, opera, the American Songbook, gospel, bluegrass, and chamber music.

Our Project

Your gift will support The Arts Association of East Alabama’s goal to provide 150 free tickets, valued at $40 each, to any 2021-22 Performance Series event, offered with our thanks to Health Care Workers throughout Lee County, including doctors and nurses at East Alabama Medical Center, area Acute Care Clinics; and our first responder Firefighters, Paramedics, and Police. The Arts Association of East Alabama, Inc. honors all those who have worked so heroically throughout the COVID pandemic to help minimize all our losses and grief and to maximize hope and recovery as we all move forward together. It is our hope that the communal experience of attending live performances will have a positive and lasting effect on those in our health and service community as they begin to recover from their own traumas accumulated in the intensity of mitigating life or death situations for so many throughout the last year.
